“Juggling Yoga” combines the fun and challenge of juggling with the breathing and balance of yoga. A few years ago, after seeing the movie “What the *BLEEP* do we know”, I was looking for a daily practice that I could do as a positive mental activity. Juggling came to mind. Like many people who can juggle, I hardly ever did.
I made juggling a daily practice, but quickly wanted an activity that was more compelling. I didn’t have aspirations to be a great juggler, but I realized I could make the practice more interesting if I combined it with a few yoga poses. A little research revealed that juggling is a physical activity like riding a bicycle. Once you learn, it becomes hard-wired, into the part of the brain that handles balance and coordination. Performance jugglers often combine juggling with balancing challenges. These yoga standing poses are a natural fit.
